A lighter and healthier version of a classic take-out dish. Perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
These Honey Garlic Meatballs have all of the familiar flavors that you know and love but are much lighter and healthier than anything you would get in a restaurant. Made with ingredients that you probably already have on hand, they are perfect for a busy weeknight or serve with toothpicks for an easy, flavor-packed appetizer.
Baked Honey Garlic Turkey Meatballs

Honey Garlic Sauce:
- one cup low- sodium chicken stock
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- 2 Tablespoons low- sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sriracha, or to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 Tablespoons of cold water.
Directions:
- In a small saucepan whisk together all ingredients except the cornstarch slurry. Bring to a boil. Whisk in cornstarch slurry. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Turkey Meatballs:
- 1 lb. extra lean ground turkey
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 Degrees. Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. In a large bowl add egg and panko. Stir well. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix just until ingredients are incorporated.
- With slightly damp hands, roll the mixture into 1″ size meatballs. Arrange evenly in casserole dish. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Add the honey garlic sauce. Gently stir and continue to bake an additional 20-25 minutes.
- Serve with toothpicks as an appetizer or over cauliflower rice, steamed rice or noodles. Yields: 24 to 30 meatballs
